What to Expect
Expect a fun, informal and super positive session - with progressions, learning activities and movements that can be adapted to suit your level. Based on content taken from our popular 10-week tumbling course, this class can be attended as a stand alone session at our purpose built studio in Woolwich, giving you the chance to try out our amazing array of inflatables, specially designed to teach adult gymnastics.
Approach:
The main goal of the session is for you to have fun, so we use team work and encoragment to help you complete an array of physical tasks that might be completely new or familiar depending on your level. If injury or lack of flexibility inhibit your ability to perform particular movements - appropriate regressions will be provided to allow you to progress at your own pace. Likewise, if you are already able to perform a skill to a good level - more difficult variations will be offered to ensure you remain challenged and stimulated.
Class Objectives & Learning Outcomes:
Have fun, try a new skill, overcome fears that have been holding you back & achieve things you thought weren’t possible for you
Explore the basics of body shaping in gymnastics, learn how to jump safely and with correct technique
Develop the ability to roll and learn how to support your own body weight while inverting
Allow your body to take flight using inflatable equipment, a trampette and a trampoline
Find out if gymnastics is something you’d like to do more of in the future
Prerequisites:
To attend our taster sessions you must be able to hold your own body weight on your hands in a plank position for 30sec
