LEVEL 0: BODY POSITIVE GYMNASTICS 10-WEEK COURSE


If you've never tried gymnastics, but love the sound of being upside down and jumping on a huge bouncy tumble track with 6 other ladies who understand how debilitating exercise class anxiety can be - then read on, we'd love you to join us!

60 min Session Structure


15min Gymnastics strength & conditioning training followed by 45min of gymnastics skills

APPROACH

Each week you’ll work towards developing excellence in three key featured skills. If injury or lack of flexibility inhibit your ability to perform particular movements - appropriate regressions will be provided to allow you to develop at your own pace. Likewise, if you are already able to perform a skill to a good level - more difficult variations will be presented to ensure you remain challenged and stimulated.

Course Goals


  • Develop self-confidence by having fun doing gymnastics

  • Learn to trust your body and open up your ideas about what your body is capable of

  • Find out how to set achievable goals and stick to them

  • Take part in NLP tasks and have a go at talking openly about the difficulties you experience around exercise

  • Work towards finding solutions to your exercise issues


WHAT YOU’LL LEARN

Jumps, balances and basic vaults, forward roll, backward roll, headstand, cartwheel, bunny hop, bridge, splits & handstand and round off progressions

N.B If you think all this sounds too difficult don’t worry! We’re pretty confident that we have the specialist equipment and know-how to break down the moves into such manageable progressions that we can teach pretty much anyone to do these skills.

Next Steps


Become a squad ambassador, remain training in the group and become a mentor to new squad member, or move on to join the Level One Tumbling Course.
